PSO TRAINING PROGRAM®  far exceeds city, state, and federal requirements for armed security officer training & certification, with 280 hours of extensive and intensive crime-prevention-focused Protective Security Training. 

PSO TRAINING PROGRAM® will ensure that our Officers gain the knowledge & skills they need to serve safely & effectively as Armed Tactical Security Officers on the streets of America. 

The condition, quality, and the wear of uniforms play a major role in how the public perceives Security Officers. A clean uniform worn by a physically fit officer inspires confidence, whereas sloppy-looking, out-of-shape officers will have the exact opposite effect. 

A Security Officer with a sharp, professional appearance is a great way to gain the trust of the public, because the officer’s appearance has set an expectation for how officers will conduct themselves. 

Therefore, MDX PSOs must always maintain a professional appearance. Both trainees and incumbent Officers are held strictly accountable to all regulations governing personal appearance.  Employees are required to always present a neat and tidy appearance while on duty, whether in uniform or civilian attire.  

 To enroll in the PSO TRAINING PROGRAM® candidates must be physically fit and mentally strong.  They must be ready to perform as though lives depend on it… because they do. 

MDX Physical Abilities Test (PAT) is nothing like gym class or working out at an athletic club.  It is meant to tax the body, test the individuals reflexes, and prey on a person’s instincts to quit when things get hard. Recruits will be scored on their ability to perform specific tasks and activities that will show clearly if they can perform the duties of an MDX PSO. 

This is a physically demanding screening program. The Physical Abilities Test is meant to do only one thing: weed out those who can't cut it.
